Caution: this illustrated map was drawn in
1998 - nature has a way of evolving and some of the trails, when not maintained, do
"grow over". Recent visitors at the Commons will attest: some trails are barely
distinguishable. For those who wish to print map without headers etc., "right
click" mouse while pointing to the illustration; select "print picture" -
it will easily fit on one 8½"x11" page. The most significant change to
the Commons is the addition of a large pond in 2001 to control runoff and attract water
loving creatures. You can still access the original "map" by clicking the tiny
image to the left. As cute
as the illustration is, a large part of the northern section of the Commons is not
reflected. In 2005 our friend Alex Hill made an accurate map using GPS software
showing the nature preserve complete with trails, Thread Creek, pond and other key
features. |
