plastic (polyethylene) is ground and reformed, cut, routed, and reassembled into

Hopper Feeders are the best general
feeder style to attract a wide assortment of birds, large and small. Typically, hopper
feeders hold a lot of food, and should be hung off a tree
hook or pole; baffles may be
required if squirrels and raccoons are undesirable. You'll likely see: blackbirds,
chickadees, cardinals, blue jays, mourning doves, nuthatch, assorted finches and
grosbeaks, depending on the type of seed offered. J.J.'s Best Mix™ is ideal. Also, try J.J.'s
Cardinal Delight™, or premium black-oil sunflower seeds. Increasingly we find folks
are filling their hopper feeders with safflower seeds which generally are unattractive to
squirrels and blackbirds. Platform Feeders are versatile feeder for birds and assorted critters. They can be used in conjunction with other feeders to serve as a tray to catch debris and increase perching surface. Or, when mounted on a pole, platforms are popular stand-alone feeder. If you position a platform feeder near the ground you'll attract mourning dove, junco, wild turkey, and assorted sparrows. Cracked corn & white-proso millet are excellent grains for ground feeding. |
