Elegant Bird Houses and Feeders for Your Gardens	Over the years we've met many different manufactures that claim they make elegant, highly decorative bird houses and feeders that are "garden-statements" however this wood artist/craftsman, Bill Kincaid is the first one who truly delivers. All of Bill's products are made entirely by him in Atlanta, Georgia. They are sturdy; in fact some people say "they are built like a tank!" Bill uses 1" thick, moisture-resistant cypress, mahogany and cedar woods that will last for generations. The roof shingles are cut from western red cedar (using a band saw), are ¼ inches thick and the lower edge has a lovely scallop produced with a round-over router. The shingles are further enhanced with copper roof boarders secured with copper "boat nails" that come all the way from Norway! All wall surfaces are primed and given four coats of the best exterior grade latex paint that ensures its lasting beauty. All of Bill's houses and feeders include a bottom support that securely slips over a 4 x 4 for mounting.

J.J.'s NestingTips - "Dryer lint is not recommended as nesting material, it holds moisture and may create an unhealthy condition in the nest. If you do wish to collect materials suitable for nesting we recommend: animal and human hair, short lengths (3-inch or less) of string, yarn, dental floss and thread, shredded paper, strips of wood, cotton batting, feathers, and sisal (a wood product). We also recommend you refrain from offering nesting materials in the thin plastic mesh bags often used for packaging some brands and also is found in the produce section at grocery stores. Plastic mesh has been known to entangle birds and other wildlife.
