Dear
Friends:
Our "events page" reflects the activities
scheduled for late March and April; we have daily programs during Spring Break that we
hope you will enjoy.
As of March 22, we still have a small quantity of orchard mason bee natal
tubes, praying mantis egg pods, and luna, and polyphemus moth. We just received a shipment
of the large, yellow eastern tiger swallowtail.
Many of you have been calling and asking about monarch availability.
Monarchs will be available as soon as we have an ample local supply of milkweed. Milkweed
is usually up in early June. We are also selling packets of milkweed seeds, 25¢ each. The
goal of the Monarch Society is to establish 75,000 monarch sanctuaries in the
US of A. You can create your own
sanctuary by reserving a little patch in your gardens for monarchs, and planting milkweed.
Please join us for any or all of our activities this spring,
Louise Dawson
