Dear Friends:
If you were among the 1st on your block to purchase the
Woodlink® Mega Tube feeder please note: we discontinued sales of the WoodLink® mixed
seed tube feeder series due to quality issues. First, we received several unfortunate
reports of birds becoming trapped in the feeder. The situation is caused when seed levels
are extremely low and birds attempt to reach the last few bits of seed at the bottom of
the feeder - one customer brought us a feeder with a bird still trapped in one of the
lowest seed ports. Fortunately we were able to help rescue the bird, and felt quite
relieved when it safely flew away.
WoodLink® is re-engineering the location of the lower seed ports to
alleviate the problem with all new feeders they distribute. Replacement parts can be
obtained directly from the manufacturer or bring your feeder to us for an exchange. Models
affected are the Mega Seed Tube feeder #WLTUBE9 and #WLTUBE2. Though we continue to carry
a variety of Woodlink® products, we are no longer stocking their tube feeders. If you
continue to use the Mega feeder as originally designed we recommend you fill it often -
perhaps daily depending on the seed consumption..
