When we opened J.J.Cardinal's Wild Bird & Nature Store on December 3, 1991, we were in
the midst of an economic recession, and some people were certain we were in for a huge
disappointment. My husband, devoted supporter, and I, knew and felt otherwise.
On that sunny, Thursday in December when we first opened the doors to our little store
(remember our first location was only 770 square feet!) our customers and community have
been delightful, appreciative, and nothing but supportive.
Daily we encounter new people, people sent to us by referral. Referrals are the
sincerest form of flattery. To send a referral means you like and appreciate what we do.
We have been told we "are the hub of the community" and "Grand Blanc's
finest little store." Our loyal customers have helped us grow and become what we are
not just in size but also in the mix of merchandise and community services we offer.
Without all your thoughtful suggestions and brilliant ideas, and high expectations for the
best, we would not be what we are today.
Come celebrate with us this holiday season as we present our finest and best of what
nature has to offer. Celebrate and join in the fun, the fun that is found when we are one
with nature and the natural world.
Our customers, and the people who work with us are among the nicest people
we know. We owe you much--and we thank you.
