Make a Butterfly House 08-06-04 Clarence said "Luna" but his friends thought he said "looney"...oh well. Their loss. Emily-luna
Participants made beautiful butterfly hibernation houses out of recycled household materials and learned about four Michigan butterflies that overwinter as adult butterflies. [August 6, 2004] Clarence Lemon of Burton stopped in the store for seed one day and saw our Luna caterpillars for sale (grow your own giant silk moth!); he decided he had to take one home. Shown here is Clarence proudly displaying is luna moth just before its release. Good job Clarence. [August 2004] Emily R., Grand Blanc, with her first-ever, newly hatched luna moth. [August 2004]
