custom deer feeder by Fred

fox

Fred W. of Grand Blanc shares several images with us which are delightful. Above left: this winter scene of white-tail deer eating from his custom feeder set-up: buckets suspended
from poles hanging off 4x4 posts. Pretty ingenious, Fred!  Above right: kitten fox frolics on fairway of local golf course.   [05/22/08]

spiney softshell turtle

Found by Eric W., Holly, MI Turtle with snoot
name: spiney softshell (Apalone spinifera spinifera). Recorded in just seven different locations in Michigan, and has a very shy nature.
Appearance: Brown or olive carapace with flexible edges, covered with black circles and spots in males and juveniles, dark blotches in females. This one looks like it might be a juvenile male. [07.01.08]
