Participants constructing a "bug dome" enjoyed help from J.J. Naturalist, Alicia C., who has graduated and believe or not...heading off to college. Oh-my-gawd. The year she spent with us sure flew! | On a nature hike in 2000, we spotted a bulbous protrusion hanging from a tree. Only Louise from J.J.'s was brave enough to a.) reach out and touch it, and b.) help curious minds learn more about it. In this case, the "It" is a gall...click the link to read about galls. (Summer 2000) | Dylan always delights us when he visits...he's such a bright and pleasant lad with an urge to learn. On this occasion, the Story Hour topic was bats, and the mission: building a shadow box bat cave. | Constructing a bird feeder is but one of many "U-Build" projects we sponsor virtually every month at the store.
