Jim & Dianne of Grand Blanc participated in our
"Grow A Tree" program earlier this year. Besides learning how
seeds germinate and grow they also planted a apple tree from seed. The budding arborists
have enjoyed the project so much, and lovingly tending to their young sprouts; the took 3
little trees to Florida this winter to be sure they were well cared for. |

| JJs was "in-the-news" again this spring as local ABC-TV affiliate WJRT broadcast a story from the store promoting the benefits of Genesee County's Big Brothers/Big Sisters program. The story featured the above nice lad building a nesting box for bluebirds. [March 2006] | ||
