| "One day I noticed my neighbor had a long nylon sock hanging on a shepherd hook in her front yard. After seeing all the little finches on it, I decide that I needed to buy one...and found that it came in two sizes. Buying the small sock and filling it with thistle seed, it was not long before the little finches showed up. We have enjoyed it ever since, seeing seven or more on the feeder at one time," Mike C. of Grand Blanc. "They seem to have no fear of me and I got within a few feet of them. As I turned and started to walk away a couple of the bigger ones started to follow me.
