| Carrin, former J.J. Cardinal
Naturalist, shared this from a friend at a nature preserve in Duluth Minnesota: "...a few photos to remind you that IT'S HAWK
MIGRATION SEASON!! We had over 102,000 fly over on September 15 and the current season
number is close to 175,000...breaking - old records! We caught our first adult goshawk of
the season today, as well as my second peregrine ever," writes Debbie
Waters, Naturalist Hawk
Ridge Nature Reserve, above left & center. A nature center volunteer is shown
above right. [09/15/03] |

Super-Sized Baffle: a great friend and swell customer, Harry
E. of Fenton, typically does things in a big way. When his backyard feeding stations were
being rashished by critters he sought a serious solution: a massive steel ring covered
with a steel grate, supported by steel post - which of course is also baffled. Harry can
hang several feeders off the structure. |
